Updated Family Pictures...

I find myself constantly the one behind the camera, taking the pictures...which is fine by me, I enjoy it...but it does present the problem that I am never in the pictures. So, my kids will always have tons of pictures of themselves growing up and their daddy, with very few ones of mommy in the mix.

With baby #2 only weeks away, I wanted to try and get some updated pictures of just the 3 of us before we become 4. It's not so easy to convince a husband that we need to pay someone else to take our pictures when people pay me to take pictures all the time! But he went with it and was a very good sport.

I have to admit, 2 year olds are the most difficult age group to photograph - they have very short attention spans, don't follow directions well and just want to do pretty much anything other than look at the camera - especially when mom is behind the camera. Jerra did really well during our photo shoot and I am very pleased with the outcome! (other than I wish I had them done before I started showing! I am 30 weeks here. Oh, well!) thanks to Sarah Giles at Butterfly Chaser Photography for capturing my family!

Happy Birthday!

We decided to have a little birthday celebration after dinner for J's new cousin! We sang Happy Birthday to Gavin and Jerra blew out the candle for him. It was the best way we could celebrate since we can't be with them. And it doesn't hurt that J loves her some cake!

Welcome!

We would like to welcome the newest member of our family - Geoff's sister and husband, Kristin and Tim, had their 1st baby this morning.
Introducing Gavin John! Jerra is a big cousin now!
8#13oz and 20 inches long. They live in Michigan, so it will be a couple months before we can meet him in person, but we are so excited for them! Congrats!!!

Swim Lessons

Today was the 1st day of swim lessons and Jerra loved it! We expected as much. She did such a good job, kicking and paddling, blowing bubbles and putting her head under water. She is going to love the next couple weeks and we can't wait to take her up to Nana/Papa's house to show off what she has learned at their pool.

Houston Aquarium

We took J to the Aquarium in downtown Houston today. She had been talking about seeing the "phises" for 2 days and was so excited to get there. She was on the lookout for Nemo, Dori, Mr Ray and Bruce the shark...and was not disappointed - we saw them all! She was so good and just walked along with us and took her time to point things out.

It's summer!!! and it's HOT!

So we broke out the pool this past weekend! J starts swimming lessons on Monday - she is such a fish in the pool, I know she is going to love it!

Our Princess...

Jerra has turned into our little princess for sure....

She LOVES anything Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty/Belle related. We have slowly acquired quite the collection:

I am sure this is not all of it, and I am sure this is not the end of it! She loves wearing her "pretty dress" and "cinderella shoes" and just can't get enough of it! What a princess!
