Ft Worth Zoo...

My parents and I took JJ to the Zoo over Spring Break. She had a great time seeing some of her favorite animals...

..like the flamingo...

...and the baby giraffe...

...but her favorite part of the day was the ice cream!...

...and the 2 minute train ride!

It was a fun filled day at the zoo with nana and popa!

Back to reality...

Well, its Sunday night and the last evening of Spring Break. BOO!!!! I need/want more time! J and I have had a great week together and I love getting to spend my days with her...

For the most part we just hung out at home with daddy and our neighborhood friends. Case came to visit for 2 days and my friend Mandy and her 2 year old son visited for a day as well. On Thursday we drove to Ft Worth and spent a few days with Nana and Papa...they took us to the Zoo and it was so fun! I have tons of picts from the week that I will post later when I have more time. (today I took 6 families Bluebonnet picts, so I have LOTS of editing to get to!)

I had tons of projects that I was going to get done and didn't (convert the guest room to the office, the office to the playroom and then eventually the playroom to the nursery; get up-to-date on JJ's scrapbook; do a serious spring clean; etc) so I guess I will somehow have to find the time in the regular weeks to come!

So, tomorrow is back to reality for J and me...

St Patty's Day!

Jerra's Godfather and our good friend, Case, came down to CS for a visit....as is tradition, Geoff and Case headed to the Dixie Chicken for lunch. After J woke up from her nap, we met them up there for some back porch snacks during the gorgeous sunny St Patty's Day afternoon.

Bath time fun

its just been ages since I have taken any pictures of J and bath time, so here they are! J loves her bath time and she is just too cute, so I had to share!

(btw: it was 'crazy hair' day at school this particular day!)

Aggie Band...

Jerra LOVES the aggie band. LOVES them. Everyday she says, "watch aggie band" to us, which means she wants to see some of the performances posted on youtube. EVERYDAY! When we drive towards campus and she sees Kyle Field, she points and yells, "aggie band, aggie band."

So, when we heard they were doing a special performance at Kyle Field last weekend, we just knew we had to be there! She LOVED it. She was so excited and everytime they paused for a new song to start, she'd say "more aggie band." It was just too cute!

Welcome Home!

As most of you know, I am a huge supporter of our troops. So, when I found out today that an airplane of 11 soliders returning home from deployment, would be landing at Easterwood Airport, I knew I would be taking an extended lunch hour to be there. Bonus was that I knew one of the families. I have taken this family's photos for over a year now, including when daddy was home on leave. So I was super excited to be there to see their reunion. There is nothing like seeing these kids faces when daddy turns the corner....I hope they don't mind me sharing these.
