A&M vs Vandy

Saturday I took the girls to watch the Aggies play Vanderbilt.  They did great and lasted through the whole game.  Course, it helped that it was a pretty day and I brought the IPad and coloring books with me!

We stood along the sides where the team walks in prior to going to our seats and got to see them all walk by, being led by Johnny Manziel.

We sat in the last row of the end zone bleacher seats, which ended up being great for them - close to food and bathrooms and still a good view without too much walking.

After the game, we stuck around for a while so they would have a chance to meet some of the players.  They love running up and asking for autographs!

I am proud of them for lasting through the whole game (Jorja has since told me it was really long!) but they are going to be some hard core Aggies!

This week

Last night was a fundraiser for Jerra's school at our local Chick-fil-a, so I braved the crowd and took all 3 kids for dinner. I let them play in the play area for about 2 minutes before my noise level was met and I had to get out of there!  But, at least we did our part to support the school.

Jerra has started to read chapter books and she chose Charlotte's Web as her first one.  So proud of her for doing so well.  I love to read and I hope she develops into an avid reader too.

Jorja has learned to ride her bike without the training wheels.  It only took about 2 days of attempts with help and she was off.  She is so proud of herself and just laughs and laughs as she rides!

The kids in their happy place!  Lol.  This and the beach are the 2 places I think my kids would want to be at the most!

Jorja is showing off her artwork at her school's art show this week.

weekly re-cap

Spent some time before the Auburn games with some friends in town. These are the only 2 Auburn people I still like after that game:

Friday night was the Distinguished Alumni Gala hosted by my work.  You can read about the 9 Aggies that were honored here: https://www.aggienetwork.com/distinguishedalumni/
I was the hostess for the evening for Ray M Bowen, who was the school president when I attended.  He and his wife were so nice.
Ryan Swope was there, I had recently re-united him with his lost Aggie ring, so we talked about that for a bit.  I sure wish he was still playing football - hopefully he can make a comeback in the NFL next year -- OR even better -- come and coach here!

Jerra rescued a baby box turtle out of grandma/pa's pool last week. Somehow she saved it just in time and the poor thing didn't drown.  It now lives in her room and is named "Shelly"

The girls and I hit up College Station High Schools Friday night football game last week. The stadium is about 2 miles from our house, so it was a quick trip.  I am trying to get these girls into football at a young age!  ;-)
