bath and bed time

We have a nightly ritual of giving the girls a bath and then having some family time in Jerra's room. We finish the night reading books before lights out. Here's a couple shots from tonights bedtime.

Another birthday...

I try not to think of my birthdays as actual 'birthdays' - I'd rather continue to celebrate the anniversary of my 27th birthday...Not because anything was special about 27 that year, actually my birthdays after it have been better because I've since had Geoff, Jerra and Jorja join my life. I just like the number 27.

But, never-the-less I turned another year older this month.

And of course...we had cake! What would a birthday be without cake?

It was a pretty good day. And in the end, I wouldn't go back in years at all, I am very happy and beyond blessed with my little family...So, maybe celebrating birthday's is not all that bad.

This past week

We had an eventful week! Here's a quick re-cap!

Starting last weekend when Grandma and Grandpa came to vist. We went and fed the ducks...


And its FOOTBALL SEASON! We went to A&M for pre-game activities - mainly watching March-in, since Jerra (and my dad!) LOVE the band. She still asks us to watch the Aggie Band on youtube, so we plan on taking her to all the march-ins this season. My friend Taylor's brother is a senior in the band and he let the kids check out his bugle before they stepped-off! Jerra was a little unsure of being so close to the band members, but I am betting after a couple more times she is going to a pro! We didn't stick around for the game, its still too hot outside for all that.



And this is pretty funny....We found Chance sitting on our couch like this (he never sits on the couch)...

So Jerra joined him! They had us laughing.





Finally, Friday night we went to Playhouse Disney at Reed Arena. Jerra LOVES Mickey Mouse and was so excited to go and see Mickey, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Tiger & Pooh. It was toddler overload for sure, and Jerra really had a good time!

San Antonio trip

A couple weeks ago we made a trip down to San Antonio to stay with Geoff's grandma - we wanted to visit with her, but we had an extra bonus this trip - Kristin and Tim flew in from Michigan and we got to meet our nephew Gavin! He is a handsome guy - going to look like his daddy for sure...and we had so much fun with them. Kristin is the best I could have asked for in a sister-in-law and I have so much fun with Tim - he is so funny and he makes me laugh nonstop. I am so glad we are family, I do wish we lived closer - but despite the distance we are making it a priority to stay close in each other's lives. We were so excited to meet Gavin (3 months old) and are excited to see him grow. Kristin and Tim are such great parents and Kristin looks like such a natural in the mommy-role, it really fits her.

For breakfast one morning, we went to LuLu's - we saw it on "Man v Food" the week before our trip and wanted to make sure we ate there. They are home to the "Texas Sized Cinnamon Roll" And let me tell you, its true! Check out the size of this 3 pound roll! and it was SOOO good!

We had a great visit, too short and it went by too quickly (as usual). We can't wait for the next visit, hopefully sooner than later. We love and miss ya'll!

Jerra and Jorja

Jerra is loving her new big sister status...

wedding....

I want to get married again -- just so we can do this!!! (be sure to pause the blog music at the bottom of the page) This just makes me smile!!!



For those of you that were either in or at our wedding...can you totally see our wedding party doing this! I can! Jess, Jess, Kristin, Mandy, Marcy, Dana, Nicole, Datra, Steve, Mark, Jason, Jake, Louis, Case, Jeff, Davyd, Justin, and johnny would have been great at this!!!

Aunt Ebe's birthday

We got to spend the weekend before Aunt Ebe's (kristin, Geoff's sister) birthday with them in San Antonio (pictures coming soon)....however, on her actual birthday we were back home. So, since Jerra is such a fan of birthdays, we decided to make cupcakes in honor of Aunt Ebe....(Ebe is the name Geoff called his sister growing up). And of course, they had to be pink....or pinkalicious, as Jerra would say!
