Big bows!

I'm know to put over-the-top sized bows on my daughters heads! I love them, Geoff hates them! LOL! I saw a t-shirt the other day that said: "the bigger the bow the better the mom" - i think i may need to get Jerra and Jorja one of those!

This Santa bow is no exception -- How totally adorable is Jorja in in??!!

Happiest baby on the block

Jorja is such a happy baby! She laughs all the time and is so much fun.

How big is Jorja?

SO big!

I haven't forgotten....

I know I promised updates...and I haven't forgotten! I have a few minutes right now while the girls are napping so I am going to try and do a couple updates here.

Jerra's preschool had a great halloween party for the kids. it was so fun to watch the kids get dressed up and go "trunk or treating" with each other. 2 parents from each classroom decorated the trunks of their cars and lined them up and all the kids walked from trunk-to-trunk getting fun treats. Then they had a pizza party complete with halloween cupcakes.

Our Halloween here at our house was just as much fun! I've mentioned before that I think we live on the best street ever and nights like Halloween just confirm that! We had a pot-luck dinner and had tons of food set out for all the kids, then some of the dads hooked up a trailer complete with hay and we took the kids trick-or-treating on the hay ride. They had so much fun and really thought the night was special...

Saying Good-bye to Case...

Our good friend (and Jerra's Godfather) Case has moved to Brazil. He left last Monday for a 2 year committment to teach math at a private high school in Bahia, Brazil. While we are sure proud of him and excited for him, we will sure miss him and we are not quite sure how Jerra is going to deal with not seeing him. (she adores him). We can talk through Skype and he gets a couple weeks off around Christmas, so we are hoping he will be back to visit then. The weekend before he left we went up to the D/FW area and spent some time with him at his going away party at his brother's house in Frisco. Then that Monday he went with Geoff, Jerra and me to the local water park, called NRH20. Jerra had a BLAST and we had a good day with our friend.

the following weekend, he had to go to Houston to pick up his travel visa's, so he spent the night/day with us and we had a final goodbye.

We wish you the best of luck Case - just make sure you come back to Texas when your 2 years are up!!!

Happy Birthday Jorja Lynn!

Jorja turned 1 on July 9th and we held a birthday party for her at our neighborhood clubhouse/pool and invited all the street's kids to come play and swim.
Jerra came up with the "ladybug" theme and our neighbor Brandi made the amazing cake!
Jerra had to wear her ladybug dress - for about 5 mins then it was time for swimsuit and the pool!

Llano, Texas

We spent the 4th of July weekend at the Walden Plantation in Llano, Texas....more on that to come in a future post -- but I had to share this series of photos....

what do you suppose she is doing?

trying to give us golf pointers?

going to measure the distance b/w the hole and the ball?

just being a silly 3.5 year old?

well, if you know Jerra you have probably already guessed.....

yep - she is marching around the green with the golf club in hand pretending she is the head drum major for the Aggie Band. Singing aloud and everything! She knows the entire War Hymn by heart....

This girl makes me laugh so many times a day!
