Christmas 2006

Christmas came and went! Geoff and I were so looking forward to having our families at the house for christmas this year and now its over! Seems like time is just flying by. We had a great weekend - my folks and Jeff were in town for the weekend and Geoff's Dad and Becky spent Christmas Day with us. We ate WAY too much and had to watch the Cowboys lose. I think out of everyone Jerra had the best christmas - and she isn't even here yet! But it seems like most of the gifts were for her! She is going to be spoiled...there is just no way around that.

Jerra's room!

We are almost ready for her arrival! just missing a few items that I am sure we will get around to in the next couple of weeks. Since we aren't sure how long we are staying at the house we are in now, we decided not to paint/add any borders or anything to the walls....so I had to get a little creative with the wall decorations...plus, its very difficult to find "girly" things in red! since the crib is red I had to be resourceful....I think it turned out alright.

santa claus!

Geoff "volunteered" to be Santa Claus at his office christmas party! he was not real excited about the idea at the least...but he did a great job and I think he thought it was a little fun in the end! the kids all got a kick out of it! and Jerra got her "first picture" taken with santa! ha!

32 weeks and counting!

no hiding the pregnancy now! she is poking through! The heartburn is still there, but otherwise things are going just fine. We have another appt on friday and then 2 weeks later, and then once weekly til she's here!

We spent thanksgiving up in Ft Worth with my parents and Geoff's uncle and aunt and cousins. Max and Sam are so cute and they are getting so big!

Christmas time is fast approaching and we are going to have a full house! My brother is flying in from Florida and my parents are driving down for the weekend. Geoff's dad and Becky are coming over on Christmas and we are going to have a big dinner at our place! Geoff has been busy getting the outside of the house decorated for the holidays and I was in charge of the inside. We put up the tree last weekend and we are ready for everyone to show up!

We spent last weekend getting the nursery together. We still have some items that we need, but hopefully we'll have everything ready by the time she gets here!

28 weeks and moving along!

We had our 28 week doc appt yesterday and he says everything is progressing great! I feel like I am getting bigger by the day now...and she is soooo active. It's almost like I can feel her every move...I can tell when its the head (grinding on my bladder!) or a kick (in the ribs) and even when she has the hiccups! We are getting very anxious to meet this little one.

This weekend is the last home football game of the season - Nebraska. I hope our coaches decide to win this one for the boys....last week was such a waste and so frustrating to watch. The team has talent, our coaches just don't seem to have faith in them.

We are planning on spending Thanksgiving with my folks up in Ft Worth and we are looking forward to the extended weekend with family and friends! Hopefully with the holidays fast approaching these last couple months of the pregnancy will fly by!

26 week sonogram

We had our 5th ultrasound done yesterday...26 weeks! Time is going by so fast, yet so slow! She is weighing in at 2 pounds, 4 ounces right now. She has flipped and is now head down, so she kicks me in the ribs on a regular basis...We are getting anxious! 96 days til the due date!
I am hoping with the holidays coming up that time doesn't go by too slow, but I have a feeling that January is going to drag on.....

starting to show....

I am finally starting to actually look pregnant! only took 25 weeks! Wow only 15 left to go!!! When she's awake she is super active...I can definately tell her sleeping habits!
This weekend is Geoff's birthday and we are just taking it easy...after almost 8 weeks of us having something to do or somewhere to go for the weekend, it will be nice to stay at home for a couple days...Next weekend we are on the move again - up to Ft Worth for the weekend....I can't believe how quickly time is going by! Maybe I will actually get some work done on Jerra's room!

St Louis Trip - Baby Shower

My St. Louis family threw a shower for Jerra and me on Oct 15th, so mom and I made the flight up for the weekend. It was great spending time with the family and getting to see everyone without the stress of the wedding! And the shower was great! Isn't the cake so cute! I am so thankful for my family....Jerra is going to be truly blessed!

Florida trip!

We spent the last weekend of September visiting my friends (jess/marc serota and dana/mike mantey) and my brother in Boca Raton, Florida. Jeff moved there a few weeks prior for his job and it was great to see him and my friends...there is never enough time to do everything you want though on those quick trips! The highlight for Geoff was a toss up between going to the beach with Jeff and going to the Monkey Jungle in Miami! We got to go 'behind the scenes' and had monkeys all over us! It was so neat!




Even though it was a quick trip, we had a good time and are already planning our next visit out there!

Baby Spahr...

We had our 3rd sonogram Monday 10/09/06. I was 23 weeks and 5 days along then. She is still measuring 1 week ahead - 1#10oz....she is very active these days - likes to kick and punch me....we can even see it from the outside now when she gives a good wallop! She is most active around 11pm - 3am...so that is not looking good for our sleep come febuary!
Her name has been decided...Jerra Catherine. Geoff came up with Jerra after his mom (Mary Jo Guerra, she went by "jo" so he took the 'j' and the 'erra' and combined the two! Catherine after my mom....so she'll get the names of her grandmas.

Geoff and I will try and keep this updated! Once the new one is here I am sure there will be tons of pictures and info to pass along! Hope all is well!
