Aggie Football!

We took Jerra to her 1st aggie football game today. We went to tailgating events last year, but not to any games since we didn't want to pay a full price ticket for a 8 month old. But today, we got 3 tickets from our friend Louis, who's seats are in the Zone Club....She had SO much fun! Of course I had to dress her up in as much Aggie gear as I could and she got lots of looks as we walked around! We got there early and met up with her official babysitters - Amanda and Chris - and we all watched march-in together. You could just see how exicted J was by all the newness of everything. When we finally got into the game and she saw the band, the students yelling and the crowd, she was having so much fun pointing everything out - and saying "agh-ees" and "wasss that" over and over. Her fave part was when they introduced the new Reveille and she got to see the puppy.

I took LOTS of pictures...

"First" day of school...

Jerra has been going to our church's school - St Thomas Aquanias - for the past year...but last week the school was closed as it prepared for the new 2008-2009 school year. For the Fall Semester, Jerra has been moved up to the 'toddler' room - so it really was a 'first' day for her - new room, new teachers and new friends. She did well after I left - but she was sooo clingy when I droped her off. I think after spending a week home with us, combined with all the newness, it was all a bit overwhelming....But she had a great time according to her teachers Ms Lucy and Ms Crystal after I left - the went to the playground (which she LOVES), colored pictures and had story time - all her fave's! She goes mon-wed-fri from 9-2 and she does really well with the other kids, I think it is doing great things for her social aspect.

My new little table!

Grandma and Grandpa Lux came down for the weekend and brought me this cute little table that is just my size. I LOVE sitting at it and reading my books, coloring and eating my snacks...

I even share my snacks with my puppy Nala!

Fightin' Aggie Class of 2029!

Jerra is a future member of the Fightin' Aggie Class of '29 -- so, in honor of football season being just weeks away, we headed out to Kyle Field with a pair of overalls that a fellow mommy made and practiced our "whoops" and "gig 'ems"....Jerra will tell you her favorite team is the "agh-gees" and she raises her little fist up in the air (doesn't quite have the thumb action yet!) We are working on 'hullabaloo' and she almost has it!

Worse today....

Of course Jerra's face looks worse today than yesterday (see post below)....the scrapes are now all scabby and wouldn't you know - she was running around again today and ran straight into the kitchen chair...so now she has a bruise on her cheek! she looks sooo beat-up right now! Our poor baby! We are keeping it clean and using anti-bacterial creme on them, so hopefully they will heal soon!

SPLAT! ouch!

Jerra took her 1st major fall today - and landed on her face. We were walking out of school today - Geoff and I picked her up together for the 1st time. She insisits on walking out herself and carrying her own bag. It takes us about 10-15 mins to get to the car since she has to say "bye" to everyone we pass - including the Huge picture of Jesus on the wall by the door...(she goes to school at our church). Today it was the 3 of us and her buddy John-Paul and his mom walking out. She must have tripped on her bag or something cause down she went and for 1/2 a second we all thought she was fine...then her arms gave out and onto the face she went! Poor little baby! I grabbed her up and started the mommy-loving while daddy checked out the damage. She got herself pretty good - her forehead, nose and upper lip is cut up and red...and she has scratches on her hands and knees....But she recovered fairly quickly and we got her all doctored up....exxtttra loves tonight!

a look back...

Most days I look at Jerra and I am totally amazed...where did my little baby go and how did it go by so fast!? She is so independent and stuborn these days...she is also very funny and really smart - course we have to think that, we're the parents! I love going back and looking at her baby pictures and comparing it to the more recent ones....She is 19 months and 3 days today - I only can imagine what will happen in the next 19 months....

Little JJ at 6 months after bathtime! LOVE this picture!

Our little future Aggie at 9 months - Class of 2025! Whoop!

feeding the ducks...

a couple weeks ago when we visited my parents, we went to a local park and Jerra got to feed the ducks that we found there! she was so excited - "wak-wak" as she calls them....we were not expecting to see the ducks there, so we had to share the yogurt puffs of hers, but she did not mind at all....she wanted to get down and chase them around, but I was a little concerned that they would turn on her! It was funny to wach...

playing in the kitchen

JJ likes to pull all the tuperware out of the cabinet and sit in it...then she 'trys' to put it all back...

Nala....spoiled?

so, do you think we have spoiled her? I am not sure....
